A Five‑Minute Noticing Practice

Sit for five minutes. No agenda. Set a timer.

  1. Name one feeling. Say it silently: tired, restless, grateful, anxious. Naming loosens the grip.

  2. Scan your body. Notice where that feeling lives. Breathe into it for three slow breaths.

  3. Ask one question. Not “why me?” but “What needs my attention now?” Wait ten seconds. Notice the first small answer.

  4. Close with one small action. It can be a glass of water, a single sentence to a friend, or standing up and stretching.

Do this once a day for a week. Track nothing but the one small action you took. After seven days, notice whether mornings feel lighter, whether decisions come with less noise. That’s the work: small, steady, practical.
